BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Maddie O’Reilly (Sr., Villanova, Pa./Episcopal Academy) of No. 6-ranked the University of Michigan recorded six goals, four assists, two steals and three field blocks during a 1-3 weekend for the Wolverines at the Arizona State University Invitational to claim recognition as the March 1 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.

She opened the weekend with three goals and a drawn exclusion as the Wolverines pounced on No. 4 Arizona State, 12-10, on Friday, February 26.  A day later, she tacked on a goal, two assists and a drawn exclusion in a 10-6 setback versus No. 1 the University of Southern California.

On Sunday, February 28, O’Reilly opened the day with two goals, an assist and a steal in a 13-7 defeat by USC prior to dishing out an assist and grabbing a pair of steals in a 7-4 loss to the host Sun Devils.

The Player of the Week nod marks the fourth in the past two years for O’Reilly who previously claimed recognition on January 27 and March 2 during the COVID-19 abbreviated 2020 season and February 22 earlier this year.
