BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Junior Maddy Steere (Pascoe Vale, Australia/St. Catherine’s School) posted eight goals, four assists, a steal and three field blocks as No. 6-ranked the University of Michigan went 2-1 in a trio of West Coast games against nationally-ranked foes.  For her performance, Steere earns status as the March 18 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.

A two-time Player of the Week selection 2019 after taking the inaugural honor on January 21, she netted a team-high four goals with two assists and a field block in a 17-7 rout of No. 13 Fresno State University in Fresno, Calif., on Friday, March 15, prior to pumping in a team best three goals with an assist and a pair of field blocks in an 8-7 victory at No. 7 University of the Pacific on Saturday, March 16.

Facing No. 4 University of California in Berkeley, Calif., on Sunday, March 17, Steere recorded a goal, an assist and a steal in an 11-7 come-from-behind loss to the Golden Bears.  The marker allowed her to reach the 150 career goal mark in her 100th career game with the Wolverines.
