BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Riley Chapple (Fr., Denton, Texas/Guyer) of No. 9-ranked the University of Michigan recorded 17 points with five goals and 12 assists during a 3-0 weekend for the Wolverines at the 2023 Bucknell University Invitational to earn status as the February 13 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.
She opened the weekend in Lewisburg., Pa., on Saturday, February 11, by netting two goals with a pair of assists in a 12-1 CWPA league victory over the host Bison. Chapple posted her best game against Saint Francis University as she burned the Red Flash for three goals and eight assists to directly factor in half the Maize & Blue’s scoring in a 22-6 league win.
On Sunday, February 12, she capped off her offensive onslaught by contributing a pair of assists in a 15-11 defeat of the No. 21 Long Island University Sharks.
