BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Claire Cassidy (Fr., San Rafael, Calif./Marian) of No. 13-ranked the University of Notre Dame contributed 13 goals and nine steals during a 4-0 weekend for the Irish in division action at Washington University in St. Louis. For her efforts, Cassidy is recognized as the February 10 Women’s Collegiate Club Midwest Division Player of the Week.
Notre Dame defeated No. 19 Grand Valley State University (11-9 W), Illinois State University (14-6 W), the Division III No. 1/host Bears (15-4 W) and Miami University (Ohio) (16-9 W) to conclude the regular season with a 7-1 mark and clinch the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Midwest Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, April 5-6, at Miami in Miami, Ohio.
