BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — 2024 Texas Division runner-up the University of Texas has notified the league office of the program’s intent to decline a bid to the Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship at Texas A&M University on Friday-Sunday, May 3-5, at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

The Longhorns would have competed as the No. 16 seed as the runner-up from the Texas Division as host Texas A&M captured the Texas Division Championship and No. 5 seed.

Due to Texas’ decision to not accept a bid to the National Collegiate Club Championship, the berth is presented to Texas Division Championship place finisher Texas State University.  Texas State is currently on the clock for a decision in regards to the program’s acceptance of the berth with a decision anticipated on Friday, April 19.

If Texas State declines to attend, the berth moves to the Pacific Coast Division Championship runner-up – California Polytechnic State University – per league rules. If Cal Poly declines, the bid will continue to be presented to potential teams per league policy and guidelines until the 16-team field is complete.
