BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalkeeper Kate Krautler (So., Oakland, Calif./Alameda) stopped 31 shots during a 3-1 weekend for the University of Utah “A” team at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Saturday-Sunday, March 1-2. For her effort, Krautler is lauded as the March 3 Women’s Collegiate Club Rocky Mountain Division Player of the Week.
She turned aside 10 shots in an 11-6 loss to No. 15-ranked the University of Colorado “A” on Saturday, March 2, prior to helping the Utes defeat the host Falcons (20-5 W), the Colorado School of Mines (19-1 W) and Colorado State University (11-8 W) to cap off a 6-2 regular season and clinch the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Rocky Mountain Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, April 5-6, at Air Force.
