BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The University of Vermont’s TJ Matteini (Jr., Baltimore, Md./Gilman School) contributed seven goals, 12 steals and three field blocks to lead the Catamounts to a 4-0 mark at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vt., during the opening weekend of league play and earn status as the September 23 Men’s Collegiate Club North Atlantic Division co-Player of the Week.
He helped Vermont defeat Bowdoin College (16-9 W), Tufts University (10-9 W), Colby College (5-0 W Forfeit) and host Middlebury (15-7 W) to gain the early lead in the division standings.
Matteini shares the award with Elliot Dziedzic (Fr., Philadelphia, Pa./William Penn Charter School) of Bowdoin College who posted 20 goals during a 3-1 weekend for the Polar Bears.
