LEXINGTON, Va. — Virginia Military Institute (VMI) Athletics, a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I member and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) is seeking an Assistant Water Polo Coach.
The successful candidate will:
- Assist in organizing and directing all phases of the water polo program.
- Recruit and evaluate potential student-athletes.
- Coordinate team travel arrangements.
- Design and implement training programs focused on athlete development, injury prevention, and performance enhancement
- Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic department, and VMI administration to support student athlete academic progress and personal development
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree as well as coaching experience.
- Must possess a valid drivers license
- Demonstrated success in training, mentoring, and developing student-athletes
- Proven track record in recruiting and retaining quality student-athletes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to working with staff and administrators
Additional Considerations:
- Some (generally two (2)+ years) of College coaching experience
