BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Ellen Beauchemin (Sr., Fairfax, Va./Robinson) made 37 saves during a 4-0 weekend for the University of Virginia at the final Women’s Collegiate Club Atlantic Division regular season tournament to garner accolades as the division’s March 25 Player of the Week.
Beauchemin, who helped Virginia wrap-up an 8-0 run in the division to clinch the No. 1 seed for the Atlantic Division Championship at home in the University Recreation Center on Saturday-Sunday, April 13-14, anchored her squad to victories over Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech, 6-5 W), Georgetown University (14-2 W), the University of North Carolina (9-6 W) and host James Madison University (6-1 W).
