BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Karli Stone (Gr., Tacoma, Wash./Wilson) and Abby Sylvester (Fr., Coronado, Calif./Coronado) combined for 43 goals, 12 assists, nine ejections drawn and 30 steals during a 4-0 league weekend for No. 8-ranked the University of Washington to share recognition as the February 24 Women’s Collegiate Club Northwest Division Player of the Week.

Competing at the Osborn Aquatic Center in Corvallis, Ore., the duo helped the Huskies handle the University of Oregon “B” (23-3 W), host Oregon State University (15-4 W), Western Washington University (14-1 W) and the University of Oregon “A” (13-5 W).

Competing in her inaugural Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) competition, Sylvester racked up 22 goals, six assists, an ejection drawn and 15 steals in approximately 105 minutes of playing time.  She posted six goals against both Oregon “B” and Western Washington, while depositing five strikes in defeats of Oregon State and Oregon “A”.

Stone (formerly Karli Stevenson) accounted for the remainder of the pairs offensive prowess by notching 21 goals, six assists, eight ejections drawn and 15 steals in approximately 90 minutes in the water.  She aided Washington’s cause in all four games by recording three (vs. Western Washington), five (vs. Oregon “B”), six (vs. Oregon “A”) and seven (vs. Oregon State) scores.
