BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Patrick Cucchiarelli (Sr., North Branford, Conn./Hampden Hall Country Day School) scored 17 goals during a 3-0 opening weekend of Mid-Atlantic Division action for Villanova University at the University of Pittsburgh to claim recognition as the division’s September 21 Men’s Collegiate Club Player of the Week.
He powered the Wildcats to defeats of Pennsylvania State University “A” (19-12 W), Pennsylvania State University “B” (18-9 W) and Carnegie Mellon University (16-6 W) while collecting six ejections drawn and pairs of assists and steals as Villanova claimed the lead in the Mid-Atlantic Division standings.
He scored eight times versus defending division champion PSU “A” – including pairs of man-up strikes and successful penalty shots – to accompany seven markers versus Penn State “B” and a duo in dealing with Carnegie Mellon.
