BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Zsombor Gyemant (So., Budapest, Hungary/Ady Endre) of Wagner College netted 11 goals on 25 shots with 15 assists, three field blocks, a steal and an ejection drawn during a 3-1 week for the Seahawks at the Bucknell University Bison Invitational to earn honors as the September 20 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Player of the Week.
A first-time weekly honor recipient from the league office, he scored four times on five shots with four assists in a 19-13 win over Salem University and chipped in a goal on five shots with five assists and a pair of field blocks in a 14-12 defeat of the host Bison. Gyemant tacked on four goals on 11 shots with three assists and an exclusion drawn in a 15-11 conference loss to No. 16-ranked Fordham University to accompany two goals on four shots with three assists, a steal and a field block in a 17-5 victory versus Mercyhurst University.
