LEBANON, Ill. — Washington & Jefferson College fell to host McKendree University, 20-11, and stopped Monmouth College, 12-9, to conclude the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC)-West Region season with a 2-4 mark.

The Presidents, who clinched the No. 5 seed for the MAWPC-West Region Championship on Saturday-Sunday, November 3-4, at the Hallman Aquatics Center in Erie, were led by four goals from freshman Will Kitsch (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) against McKendree.

Robert Koch (Worcester, Pa./La Salle College), Dylan Gwinn (Baltimore, Md./Mount St. Joseph) and Dustin Reinke (Fresno, Calif./Buchanan) all finished second on the team with two tallies apiece. Ethan Moy (New York, N.Y./The High School for Math, Science & Engineering) rounded out W&J’s goal scorers with one. 

The Presidents bounced back against Monmouth by topping the Scots, 12-9, in W&J’s MAWPC-West regular season finale.

For the second match in a row, Kitsch led W&J in goals, as he scored four against Monmouth. 
 
Reinke added three more goals to his daily tally to finish second on the team, while Ian Geister (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) rounded out the Red & Black’s multi-goal scorers with a pair of tallies. David Boyer (York, Pa./Central York) made the start in net for W&J and notched seven saves to earn the win.
