BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Washington & Jefferson College goalie Cecelia Weiss (Sr., Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) posted double-digit saves in three appearances and a total of 37 during a 4-0 league weekend for the Presidents at home in Henry Natatorium.  For her efforts, Weiss is named the March 21 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Defensive Player of the Week.

Competing in the opening weekend of CWPA Division III-East Region action, Weiss helped W&J jump to the top of the league standings with a perfect 4-0 record.

On Saturday, March 19, she turned away 13 shots in a 12-11 defeat of Penn State Behrend prior to blocking down 14 scoring attempts in a 13-11 victory over Connecticut College.  Following a 13-3 win on Sunday, March 20, over Utica College, she returned to the pool to make 10 saves in a 14-12 victory over Grove City College.
