BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Washington & Jefferson College goalkeeper Cecelia Weiss (Sr., Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) totaled 38 saves during a 2-2 week for the Presidents to claim the March 28 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Defensive Player of the Week award.

A two-time Defensive Player of the Week selection after previously taking the March 21 accolade, she opened the week by stopping 14 shots in a 10-9 sudden victory overtime win at the California Institute of Technology on Tuesday, March 22, in Pasadena, Calif.  Following a 21-5 loss to Division III No. 2-ranked California Lutheran University on Wednesday, March 23, in Thousand Oaks, Calif., Weiss and the Presidents returned East to compete in the Penn State Behrend Invitational on Saturday, March 26, in Erie, Pa.

Facing the host Lions of Penn State Behrend, she stopped 11 shots to key W&J to an 11-10 win prior to taking an 11-10 loss versus Grove City College.
