BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Mackenzie Caron (Fr., Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) and Chloe Majorprice (Fr., Manchester, Mich./Skyline) of Washington & Jefferson College combined for 20 goals, 13 assists, 21 steals and three field blocks during a 3-1 weekend for the Presidents in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III-East Region competition at Grove City College on Friday-Saturday, March 6-7. For their combined efforts, the duo are christened the league’s March 9 Division III Rookie of the Week.
On Friday, March 6, Majorprice (two) and Caron (three) accounted for five of the Presidents’ 16 goals in a 17-16 loss to Keystone State nemesis Penn State Behrend. Taking on the host Wolverines in the other Pennsylvania battle, Majorprice found the net four times with Caron contributing a solo tally in a 13-11 victory.
Caron carried the majority of the offensive load among the pair on Saturday, March 7, as she scored four times versus Wheaton (15-8 W) with six strikes to help cut down Connecticut College (15-11 W).
