BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Hallie Ratcliff (Fr., Friendswood, Texas/Friendswood) of Washington & Jefferson College recorded 12 goals during a 3-1 league weekend at home in the Henry Memorial Natatorium to earn recognition as the March 11 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Rookie of the Week.
A first-time weekly award recipient from the league office, Ratcliff started the three-day weekend by scoring twice in a 15-5 defeat of Wheaton College (Mass.) on Friday, March 8. On Saturday, March 9, she tacked on another pair of markers in an 18-16 overtime loss to Connecticut College prior to accounting for a hat-trick with three goals in a 16-14 dispatching of Penn State Behrend.
She capped off the weekend by posting a season-high five goals in a 19-10 victory over Grove City College by the Presidents.
