IRVINE, Calif. —  The Washington & Jefferson College women’s water polo team dropped a 22-8 decision to National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) member Westcliff University at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif.

The Warriors used a fast start to race out to an 8-3 lead after the opening quarter of play. The Westcliff lead moved to 11-4 by halftime prior to the Warriors outscoring the Presidents 11-4 in the second half as well.

Ryley McClellan (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) scored a team-best four goals. McClellan has totaled 44 goals over 12 matches this season.

Laura Anthony (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) added a three-point effort with two goals and an assist. Megan DePrez (Claremont, Calif./Claremont) tallied a pair of goals in her final collegiate match in her home state.

Anastacia Didovich (Venice, Fla./Venice) and Sydney Neumann (Long Beach, Calif./Millikan) both notched an assist in the loss.
