BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Former Connecticut College head coach Eric Hultgren continues to be involved in the water – although his specialization concerns more underwater activities as a Principal Engineer for General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, Conn.
The head men’s and women’s water polo coach at Connecticut College from August 2000 to November 2002, Hultgren reluctantly departed the Camels’ bench following the birth of his first child while maintaining his position with Electric Boat.
A 1995 graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) where he competed in water polo while completing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Hultgren worked at Electric Boat as an Engineering Specialist from June 1999-to-January 2018 before assuming his current position as a Principal Engineer.
He completed a Masters of Science in Ocean Engineering with specialization in Underwater Propulsion and Vehicles in 2002 from the University of Rhode Island, he continues to be involved in aquatics sports as an Age Group swimming coach with the Westerly-Pawcatuck YMCA Dolphins in Connecticut.
