BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Former George Washington University men’s water polo coach Andy Turnage, who led the Colonials men to a record of 55-68 from 1992-to-1996, continues to look to the stars in his post-collegiate career.
A 1987 graduate of the University of California-San Diego prior to attending the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in 1990 and earning a Master of Arts from George Washington in 1992, Turnage continues to serve as the Executive Director of the Association of Space Explorers.
Appointed to his current position in May 1995, he leads an organization with a mission of providing the, “unique perspective of our astronaut / cosmonaut members to promote the global benefits of space science, exploration and international cooperation; to educate and inspire future generations; and to foster better stewardship of our home planet.”
