BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men’s Water Polo Committee released the bracket for the postponed 2020/Winter 2021 NCAA Championship set for Thursday, March 18, and Saturday-Sunday, March 20-21, at the University of Southern California’s Uytengsu Aquatics Center in Los Angeles, Calif.

Comprised of three automatic bids and three at-large selections, the field features top seed/No. 1-ranked/at-large selection the University of California and No. 2 seed/No. 2/Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) selection Stanford University earning first round byes to the semifinals on Saturday, March 20.

On Friday, March 18, competition begins as No. 3/at-large selection the University of California-Los Angeles takes on No. 7/Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Champion California Baptist University at 4:00 p.m. Eastern/1:00 p.m. Pacific.  Later in the day, No. 4/at-large selection/host USC battles No. 9/Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Champion Bucknell University at 7:00 p.m. Eastern/4:00 p.m. Pacific.

The victor of the two first-round games advance to the semifinals on Saturday, March 20, as Stanford will face the winner of UCLA-Cal Baptist at 5:00 p.m. Eastern/2:00 p.m. Pacific prior to California meeting the victor of USC-Bucknell at 8:00 p.m. Eastern/5:00 p.m. Pacific.

On Sunday, March 21, the two semifinal winners clash at 5:00 p.m. Eastern/2:00 p.m. Pacific for the National Championship.
