SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — In the final home game in the history of the Wittenberg University women’s water polo program, the Tigers turned back Grove City College, 11-6.
Prior to competing at home for the final time, Wittenberg celebrated its senior class of Meghan Lythgoe, Kailey Cordova and Savannah Cross. The trio led way to one final victory for the program, which will be discontinued at Wittenberg at the conclusion of the 2022-23 season. The program, which started in 2018, has seen 34 victories with the senior class contributing to 26 of those wins.
Grace McLaughlin led Wittenberg with four goals on the day, while Bianca Gallegos, Olivia Pena, Elizabeth Schexnaider, Meghan Lythgoe and Kailey Cordova also found the back twine.
