SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Division III No. 5-ranked Austin College and Macalester College dealt host Wittenberg University 19-6 and 10-7 defeats, respectively, at the Wittenberg Natatorium during the first day of a Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III-West Region tournament hosted by the Tigers.
Facing the defending CWPA Division III Champion Kangaroos of Austin, Wittenberg was able to score in each quarter as Sierra Bui (two), Evelyn Heil (one), Emma Menjivar (one), Meghan Lythgoe (one) and Riley Kettelson (one) found the back twine.
In the Tigers’ final game of the day, Wittenberg put up seven goals with Savannah Cross, Heil and Kailey Cordova each scoring twice to accompany a solo strike by Bui.
