BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Wittenberg College goalie Caroline Coleman (So., Oviedo, Fla./Oviedo) recorded 38 saves and a pair of steals during a 1-3 weekend for the Tigers to claim the March 2 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Defensive Player of the Week award.
Competing at the Grove City College Invitational on Saturday, February 29, she opened the one-day event by stopping 12 shots in a 17-15 defeat of the host Wolverines. Coleman closed out the day by turning aside six and 13 scoring attempts against Mercyhurst University and Gannon University, respectively.
On Sunday, March 1, she made seven saves in a 19-2 loss to the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in Wittenberg’s home-opener.
