BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Wittenberg University’s Grace McLaughlin (So., Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) netted five goals, two steals and six kickouts drawn in season-opening games at home versus Mount St. Mary’s University and Mercyhurst University on Saturday, February 5, to claim status as the February 7 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Player of the Week.
She notched a goal in an 18-7 loss to Mount St. Mary’s prior to putting away four shots in a 12-8 loss to Mercyhurst.
The award marks the sixth weekly honor for McLaughlin as she garnered March 15, March 22, March 29 and April 19 Rookie along with March 22 Player of the Week status during the 2021 season.
