BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Wittenberg University’s Grace McLaughlin (Fr., Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) racked up two more weekly honors in her first 14 days of intercollegiate competition as the first-year is named both the March 22 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Player and Rookie of the Week.
The March 15 CWPA Division III Rookie of the Week for tallying six goals in a 20-11 league win at Grove City College and a pair in a 17-6 loss to Mercyhurst University last week, she raised her season scoring total to 21 markers with 13 goals, an assist, three steals and a field block in a pair of league victories at home.
Facing Penn State Behrend, she found the back of the cage four times and grabbed a steal in a 9-5 win. Later in the day, she added nine goals, an assist, eight steals and a field block in a 20-9 victory over Carthage College.
