The northern Virginia native will graduate on May 18 with degrees in economics and global affairs with goals of serving his country as a foreign service officer in the United States State Department.
The son of a Fort Collins, Colo., police officer, who previously worked as a military police officer and for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and an army nurse, two of Doran’s four siblings serve in the military.
Due to scoliosis which left him ineligible for military service, Yale gained a leader and a water polo captain who helped lead the team to improvement in the New England Division with Fifth (2016), Seventh (2017), Sixth (2018) and finally Fourth (2019) Place finishes at the division championship tournament.
