BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2024 Week 15/May 1 Women’s Varsity National Top 25, Division III Top 10 and CWPA Top Five Polls.
The University of California-Los Angeles and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges continue at No. 1 in the National Top 25 and Division III Top 10 polls, respectively, while Princeton University leads the CWPA Division I Top Five voting.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA), the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), the Golden Coast Conference, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Big West Conference, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and the CWPA based on the cumulative results of the season, the polls are compiled and released on Wednesdays during the season.
2024 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 (Week 15/May 1)
Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Champion the University of California-Los Angeles completes the conference championship weekend at No. 1 in the 2024 Week 15/May 1 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 Poll.
The first five positions remain unchanged as UCLA (100 points), Big West Conference Champion the University of Hawaii (96 points), the University of California (92 points),Stanford University (88 points) and the University of Southern California (84 points) continue at No. 1-to–5 respectively.
Golden Coast Conference Champion Fresno State University (78 points) climbs three positions to No. 6 with Long Beach State University (75 points), the University of California-Irvine (70 points) and Loyola Marymount University (68 points) taking over at No. 7-to-9.
Arizona State University (61 points) and Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Champion Princeton University (61 points) move into a tie at No. 10.
Indiana University (54 points), the University of California-San Diego (50 points), the University of Michigan (48 points) and the University of California-Davis (41 points) rate at No. 11-to-15 with California State University-Northridge (36 points), Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Champion Wagner College (35 points), the University of California-Santa Barbara (31 points), San Jose State University (27 points) and Brown University (23 points) assuming the No. 16-to-20 positions.
San Diego State University (22 points), Harvard University (18 points) and University of the Pacific (20 points) stand at No. 21-to-24 with Long Island University (7 points) and Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Champion Biola University (7 points) completing the Top 25 by tying for the final position.

Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Champion Pomona-Pitzer Colleges stays at No. 1 for another week in the 2024 Week 15/May 1 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll.
The poll experiences minor changes as Pomona-Pitzer (100 points), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (95 points), Chapman University (86 points) and California Lutheran University (85 points) stay at No. 1-to-4.
Augustana College (80 points) takes over at No. 5 from the University of La Verne (79 points) with Austin College (68 points) and Macalester College (67 points) remaining at No. 6-to-8.
Whittier College (35 points) gains company at No. 9 as Washington & Jefferson College (35 points) pulls even with the Poets to complete the Top 10.

2023 and 2024 league champion Princeton University completes the year at No. 1 in the 2024 Week 15/May 1/Final Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Top Five Poll
The 2000, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2023 and 2024 league champion Tigers (99 points) wrap-up the 2024 league campaign with a four point margin compared to 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 league champion the University of Michigan (96 points). Princeton defeated the Wolverines by a 10-9 score at Harvard University‘s Blodgett Pool on Sunday, April 28, for the league championship and automatic berth to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
Brown University (88 points) moves up to No. 3 after downing host Harvard (87 points) by a 13-12 score in overtime for third place at the CWPA Championship tournament.
Saint Francis University (48 points) rounds out the Top Five as the Red Flash displace Bucknell University (32 points) in the wake of a 12-6 victory in the fifth place contest.
