BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Jalene Weatherholt  (Jr., San Jose, Calif./Presentation) and Karli Stevenson (So., Tacoma, Wash./Wilson) of the University of Washington “A” combined for 21 goals, 15 assists, 20 steals and eight field blocks during a 4-0 weekend for the Huskies to claim status as the March 5 Women’s Collegiate Club Northwest Division co-Players of the Week.

In a weekend at the Willamalane Aquatic Center in Springfield, Ore., hosted by the University of Oregon, the duo helped Washington “A” deal defeats to Oregon State University (13-10 W), Oregon “A” (14-11 OT W), Western Washington University (15-2 W) and Portland State University (27-0 W) to finish with an 8-0 league mark and clinch the No. 1 seed for the Northwest Division Championship slated for Saturday-Sunday, April 14-15, at the Osborn Aquatic Center in Corvallis, Ore.

Stevenson finished with 17 goals, five assists, 10 steals and a field block in 88 minutes of time during the weekend.  Her most vital performance came versus Oregon “A” in a game that determined the No. 1 seed for the upcoming division championship tournament.  Down 4-0 to the Ducks, she fired in five consecutive markers to stake the Huskies to a 5-4 lead.  She finished the contest with eight goals, three assists and three steals as she factored in 11 of Washington’s 14 goals in the game. Further, Stevenson added five goals with pairs of assists and steals as the Huskies topped Oregon State.

Weatherholt racked up four goals, 10 assists, 10 steals and seven field blocks in 84 minutes for Washington.  She scored the first goal in overtime for the Huskies against Oregon “A” and aided in swinging the momentum to allow Washington to claim the win.
