BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Elizabeth Hernandez (Fr., Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley) of the University of California-San Diego racked up nine goals, three assists two steals and a pair of ejections drawn during a 4-0 weekend for the Tritons during the final regular season tournament hosted by Arizona State University. For her performance, Hernandez garners April 22 Women’s Collegiate Club Southwest Division Player of the Week recognition.
UC-San Diego topped the University of Arizona (15-1 W), San Diego State University “A” (9-4 W), San Diego State University “B” (18-2 W) and the University of California-Irvine (17-9 W) to conclude an 8-0 conference regular season and clinch the No. 1 seed for the Southwest Division Championship at home in La Jolla, Calif., on Saturday-Sunday, April 27-28.
