BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) is spotlighting the 2020 women’s seniors who had their season cut-short due to the Coronavirus.  Conducted through written word or by video, the league’s intention is to recognize its membership.

The University of Central Florida women’s club team loses four players this year as three seniors graduate this month and another will graduate prior to the start of the 2021 season.

  • Alicia Emerine is the team’s outgoing club president and was on the team during UCF’s 2017 undefeated regular season and last National Collegiate Club Championship appearance in 2017.  She has been the definition of “giving your all” for four years per head coach Annaliese Bullock.

  • Carolina Gomez is the team’s outgoing vice president and was on the team for three years.  “Carolina is one of the most caring girls who has been on the team, her teammates really respect her and we coaches have seen her work hard to improve her skills,” according to Bullock.

  • Pam Romero was a member of the team since the 2014-2015 season when UCF pulled off some big upsets to make it to the National Collegiate Club Championship.  Bullock notes, “Pam is the definition of someone who has an absolute love of the game and it really shows.”

  • Vitoria Artmann joined the team in the Spring of 2017 and was a team captain for the 2018-2019 season.  Bullock notes, “Vitoria is one of the most intensely focused people I have seen come through our team, her teammates look up to her, and she always has ideas to improve our team both in and out of the water.”
