BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The University of California-Los Angeles and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges rate at No. 1 in the National Top 20 and Division III Top 10 rankings as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the official 2024 Men’s Varsity Week 10/November 13 National Top 20, Division III Top 10, Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Top Five and Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Top Five Polls.

UCLA and Pomona-Pitzer rate as unanimous top selections in their respective rankings.

Defending MAWPC and NWPC champions Fordham University and Princeton University join the Bruins and Sagehens as unanimous picks as the Rams and Tigers top their respective league rankings.

Voted on by a panel of coaches, the polls are compiled and released on Wednesday during each week of the season through the week following the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.

2024 Men’s Varsity National Top 20 (Week 10/November 13)

The University of California-Los Angeles continues a reign at No. 1 in the 2024 Week 10/November 13 National Men’s Varsity Top 20 Poll.

UCLA (100 points) leads a Top 10 which experiences only one change as Stanford University (94 points), Fordham University (89 points), the University of Southern California (87 points), University of the Pacific (81 points), Princeton University (75 points), the University of California (69 points), the University of California-Irvine (65 points) and Pepperdine University (60 points) remain at No. 2-to-9 behind the Bruins.

The University of California-San Diego (52 points) cracks the Top 10 in the final spot, while the University of California-Davis (48 points), Long Beach State University (44 points), San Jose State University (41 points), the University of California-Santa Barbara (40 points) and Harvard University (30 points) come in at No. 11-to-15.

California Baptist University (26 points), Santa Clara University (21 points), Brown University (13 points), Loyola Marymount University (10 points) and the United States Naval Academy (6 points) round out the Top 20.

2024 Men’s Varsity Division III Top 10 (Week 10/November 13)

Pomona-Pitzer Colleges continues at No. 1 in the 2024 Week 10/November 13 Men’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll.

Pomona-Pitzer (100 points)  – which becomes a unanimous No. 1 selection after garnering 99 points last week – is followed by the University of Redlands (95 points).

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges  (86 points) acquires company as Chapman University (86 points) moves into a tie at No. 3, while California Lutheran University (82 points) drops back to No. 5.

Whittier College (76 points), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (67 points), Occidental College (66 points), the University of La Verne (59 points) and Johns Hopkins University (34 points) conclude the Division III Top 10.

2024 Men’s Varsity Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Top 5 (Week 10/November 13)

Fordham University – which claimed the 2021, 2022 and 2023 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Championships – remains on the path to a potential four-peat as the Rams continue to top the 2024 Week 10/November 13 MAWPC Top Five Poll.

The poll experiences changes from last week as the Rams (100 points) maintain their prior position, while the United States Naval Academy (93 points) slips past George Washington University (92 points) to take over at No. 2.

Bucknell University (82 points) moves back to No. 4 with Wagner College (67 points) maintaining the final berth in the Top Five.

2024 Men’s Varsity Northeast Water Polo Conference Top 5 (Week 10/November 13)

Four-time Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) champion Princeton University becomes a unanimous top selection in the 2024 Week 10/November 13 NWPC Top Five Poll.

The 2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023 NWPC Champion Tigers (100 points) expand their lead over 2016, 2017 and 2019 NWPC Champion Harvard University (95 points).

Brown University (90 points), Iona University (85 points) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (80 points) round out the Top Five at No. 3-to-5.
