NORTON, Mass. — Wheaton College, a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III institution located in Norton, Mass., seeks an Associate Head Coach for the institution’s men’s and women’s water polo teams.

Wheaton seeks a motivated, energetic, passionate and caring individual to help lead our men’s and women’s water polo programs. The Associate Head Coach prepares the team for a full intercollegiate varsity season, including in-season training sessions, develops a recruiting plan and evaluates and identifies qualified student-athletes. Assist the head coach in preparing and managing operating, recruiting and fundraising budgets. Commitment to working and teaching within an environment that embraces the holistic development of the student-athlete. Additionally, this person will serve in an administrative capacity as directed by the Athletic Administration. It is expected that this individual will comply with all NCAA Division III, New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) and Wheaton College rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Individuals must possess the skills and abilities or be able to teach and demonstrate all aspects of the sport they are coaching.
- The candidate must be able to work independently and have the ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Individuals must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Bachelor’s Degree required and 1-3 years of collegiate playing and/or coaching experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- 1-3 years of collegiate coaching experience

- The anticipated hiring or recruitment range for this position is $42K.
- The salary for this position will be commensurate with the qualifications, education and experience of the candidate.
