2021 Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Championship All-Tournament Team Released

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2021 CWPA Divison III Championship All-Tournament team from the four-game event hosted on Saturday-Sunday, April 17-18, at Carthage College’s HARIBO Pool in the Koenitzer Aquatic Center.

Austin College claimed the program’s inaugural Division III Championship by topping host Carthage, 17-2, in the opening round prior to downing Wittenberg University by a 20-6 score in the title game.

The Kangaroos – who previously finished second to Macalester College by an 8-5 final score at the 2019 CWPA Division III Championship hosted by Connecticut College in New London, Conn. – became the fourth team to claim the league crown following Grove City College (2010, 2011, 2012), Connecticut (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016) and Macalester (2017, 2018, 2019).

The ‘Roos earn six All-Tournament selections, including five First Team nods, while runner-up Wittenberg also picks up six accolades thanks to the Tigers earning a tie for Second Team goalie. 

Grove City, which finished in Third Place following a 13-9 loss to Wittenberg and a 17-9 defeat of Carthage in the Third Place game, picks up three All-Tournament nods with Carthage garnering one.
