BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Multimedia Department will conduct a video shoot this weekend on the campus of Villanova University with CWPA Coordinator of Officials Ed Reed, Technical Committee member Jack Horton, and active officials to provide online referee education resources for the sport of water polo.
A change from the previously conducted Referee Education Forum which the league conducted for several seasons prior to joining with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to conduct the event on both the East and West Coast in 2016, the video shoot will provide online resources for officials spanning the novice to advanced levels.
Several topics slated to be covered span from the role of an official as an amassador for the game, decorum, hand signals, explanations of the assignment procedure and video analysis process used for evaluations and decorum, among other agenda items.
