LORETTO, Pa. — The Saint Francis University Red Flash Water Polo team has announced the signing of two recruits: center/defender Caroline Gillespie (Landsdale, Pa./North Penn) and all-around player Maria Eleni Seletopoulou (Glyfada, Athens, Greece/Yannapoulos Schools) .
Coach Jeremiah O’Neil is exuberant about the two new recruits as he enters his debut season coaching the Red Flash squad. His comments on each specific recruit are located below.
O’Neil on Gillespie: Caroline is a great signing for the Red Flash. She will be able to come in and right away and contribute as a freshman. Her speed and skills make her a great asset. We are very excited Caroline chose St. Francis.
O’Neil on Seletopoulou: “We are very excited to have Marialena joining the Red Flash for the Spring of 2018. Her wealth of international experience will have an immediate impact on the team. She is an incredibly smart and versatile player whose playing style will greatly improve our team at both ends of the pool. We are very excited Marialena chose St. Francis.”
