KENOSHA, Wisc. — Arianna Dakuras (Sr., Chicago, Ill./Oak Park-Fenwick) was named the female recipient of the 2020-21 Carthage College Frank Falduto Athlete of the Year. The award goes to “the male and female student-athlete who made the most significant contribution to an athletic team during the year”.
A 2021 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-America Honorable Mention selection and a three-time ACWPC All-Academic honoree (2019, 2020, 2021), she led the Firebirds in goals on the season with 20 and was also named to the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) All-Conference second team and the CWPA Division III Championship All-Tournament team during the 2021 campaign. Dakuras, a nursing major who is currently studying for the NCLEX exams, registered four goals, six assists and four steals the previous season.
