BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Casey Barragan (Jr., Commerce, Calif./La Serna) of Division III No. 5-ranked Augustana College posted five goals and seven drawn exclusions during a 1-1 weekend for the Vikings at McKendree University on Saturday, February 10, to claim honors as the February 12 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Player of the Week.
A six-time (February 13, February 20, March 6, March 20, April 3 and April 24) Rookie of the Week and five-time (February 20, March 6, April 3, April 24, May 8) Player of the Week honoree during the 2023 season at Augustana after transferring from Fresno State University, she adds her sixth Player of the Week award to start the 2024 campaign.
She started the day by contributing four goals and six drawn exclusions in an 11-8 loss to the host Bearcats. In the late game, she tacked on a goal and another drawn exclusion as the Vikings rolled to a 12-4 non-conference defeat of Carthage College.
