BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Cate Carlson (So., Coronado, Calif./Coronado) of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech) posted 10 goals, six assists and 12 steals during a 3-0 weekend for the Hokies at the Atlantic Division Championship hosted by the University of Virginia. For her performance, Carlson is named the April 22 Women’s Collegiate Club Atlantic Division Player of the Week.
Virginia Tech, which claimed the programs’ first division title since 2019 and earns another bid to the Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship, outscored its foes 40-9 over the weekend as the Hokies handled James Madison University (10-0 W), Georgetown University (14-4 W) and the host Cavaliers (16-5 W).
