BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Recent Princeton University graduate Roko Pozaric (Zagreb, Croatia/Gimnazija Titusa Brezovackog) converted on two-of-four scoring tries while also grabbing a steal, collecting four rebounds and field blocking a shot as Canada exploited an 11-6 second half scoring advantage to overcome Brazil, 16-11, for 11th place at the 2025 World Aquatics Championship.

Competing in Singapore, Republic of Singapore, Pozaric connected on one-of-two action shots, one-of-one direct shots and zero-of-one man-up bids to tie with Bogdan Djerkovic, Nikos Gerakoudis and Jason O’Donnell for second place on the squad with pairs of goals.  Reuel Mark d’Souza inflicted the majority of the scoring damage for the Canadians with seven goals as six athletes tallied markers in the contest.

Canada fell behind by a 3-1 margin in the first quarter and rallied back to balance the scoreboard at five-all entering halftime. The Canadians continued their momentum in the second half with 5-1 and 6-5 scoring advantages in the third and fourth quarters, respectively, to claim a five-goal win.
