BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Jess Palmer-Sammons (Sr., Half Moon Bay, Calif/Half Moon Bay) of Division III No. 6-ranked Macalester College notched 11 goals, seven assists, nine steals, five ejections drawn and four penalties drawn during a 3-1 weekend for the Scots in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III-West Region competition hosted by Carthage College. For her offensive and defensive exploits, Palmer-Sammons collects laurels as the March 16 CWPA Division III Player of the Week.
She scored four times in an 8-7 defeat of Division III No. 10 Carthage College before accounting for two goals in a 7-5 loss to defending CWPA Division III Champion/Division III No. 5 Augustana College on Saturday, March 14.
On Sunday, March 15, she capped off her weekend with a solo marker in a 12-10 victory over Grove City College prior to accounting for four goals, three assists, three steals, two penalties drawn and three exclusions drawn in a 15-14 win against Division III No. 10 Austin College.
