BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) President Mark Gensheimer has done it all – varsity athlete at Bucknell Unviersity, assistant coach at the United States Naval Academy, United States Olympic Festival Gold Medalist and a member of the league Hall of Fame.
However, his success would not have been possible without a league to compete in during his collegiate days.
Among a generation of Bison that tallied a 114-15-3 record along with four consecutive Eastern Championships and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) berths (1977-to-1980), he combined with classmate and fellow CWPA Hall of Fame member Scott Schulte (586-256-842) for an astounding 1,238 points from 830 goals and 408 assists.
But now he is asking you to be his teammate and help the CWPA continue to provide services which enhance and enrich the student-athlete experience for today’s student-athletes.
To maintain and grow the types of programs which have provided thousands of playing opportunities for athletes and hundred of universities/colleges around the nation, the league needs your support.
