BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announces 807 student-athletes earned Spring 2021 ACWPC Women’s All-Academic recognition.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete’s head coach must be a member of the ACWPC, while the athlete must attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Divided into three teams based on cumulative grade point average (GPA), 345 athletes garnered Outstanding (4.00-3.71), 288 Superior (3.70-3.41) and 174 Excellent (3.40-3.20) recognition from 59 teams.

Further, a total of 56 schools posted Team Honors for achieving GPAs over 3.0 with the Stanford University (3.85) leading the way.  Salem University (3.84), Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (3.79), Harvard University (3.73), Carthage College (3.71), Connecticut College (3.70), Brown University (3.68), California State University-East Bay (3.67), California Baptist University (3.65), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (3.63), Macalester College (3.63), La Salle University (3.62), Villanova University (3.60), Mercyhurst University (3.59), Princeton University (3.58), Santa Clara University (3.58), San Jose State University (3.57), Whittier College (3.57), Long Island University (3.55), Iona College (3.55), California State University-Fresno (3.54), Wagner College (3.53), Gannon University (3.59) and the University of California-San Diego (3.50) also equaled or exceeded the 3.50 plateau.

Austin College (3.49), Bucknell University (3.48), California State University-Monterey Bay (3.48), Marist College (3.46), Siena College (3.46), Azusa Pacific University (3.45), Concordia University (3.45), Occidental College (3.44), Arizona State University (3.43), the University of Michigan (3.43), Penn State Behrend (3.43), University of the Pacific (3.41), St. Francis College Brooklyn (3.40), the University of California-Irvine (3.40) and the University of California-Santa Barbara (3.40) also reached a 3.40 grade point average or higher.

George Washington University (3.39), the University of Hawaii (3.39), Chapman University (3.37), University of California-Los Angeles (3.36), Loyola Marymount University (3.34), Long Beach State University (3.32), Indiana University (3.31), San Diego State University (3.31), the University of California (3.28), Saint Francis University (3.27), the University of Southern California (3.27), Washington & Jefferson College (3.26), the Virginia Military Institute (3.11), Grove City College (3.06), the University of California-Davis (3.05), McKendree University (3.04) and Mount St. Mary’s University (3.03) were also recognized for academic excellence by exceeding the 3.0 mark.
