BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Augustana College’s Alyssa Fricker (Fr., Foothill Ranch, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic) scored 13 goals over three games at the 2022 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Championship hosted by Grove City College on Thursday-Saturday, April 21-23, to earn recognition as the April 25 CWPA Division III Rookie of the Week.
The honor marks the eighth weekly honor from the league office bestowed on Fricker who previously earned both the Player and Rookie of the Week awards on February 14, February 21 and March 7 prior to earning the Rookie of the Week accolade on March 14.
She opened the weekend with seven goals in a 17-2 defeat of Penn State Behrend by the Division III No. 9-ranked Vikings on Thursday, April 21, before collecting five markers in a 15-13 victory over Wittenberg University on Friday, April 22. She capped off the weekend with a goal in an 18-7 loss to Division III No. 4 Austin College during the 2022 CWPA Division III Championship game.
