BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — 2022 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Championship Most Valuable Player Brooke Le (Sr., Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound) of Division III No. 4-ranked Austin College scored 12 goals during a 3-0 weekend for the Kangaroos at Grove City College to repeat as league champion. For her performance, Le is named the April 25 CWPA Division III Player of the Week.
She opened the weekend at Grove City’s James E. Longnecker Competition Pool by scoring four goals in a 20-1 victory over Carthage College on Thursday, April 21, before finding the back of the cage five times in a 13-4 defeat of Macalester College in the semifinals on Friday, April 22. She capped off the weekend by posting three goals in an 18-7 dispatching of Division III No. 9-ranked Augustana College on Saturday, April 23, as the ‘Roos claimed their second consecutive (2021, 2022) CWPA Division III Championship crown.
The award marks the fourth weekly honor of her intercollegiate career after previously earning Rookie of the Week status on April 1, 2019, and nods as Player of the Week on March 9, 2020 and April 4, 2022.
