2026 Brown University Men’s Water Polo Schedule
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Brown University Director of Water Polo Felix Mercado announced the institution’s 2026 men’s water polo schedule. The Bears will host 20 home games on the season, including kicking off the year with the Bruno Classic.
Brown will start the Bruno Classic on Friday, August 28 with games against University of the Pacific and California Baptist University. The Bears will also play Wagner College, the University of California-Davis, Gannon University and the United States Air Force Academy over the rest of the tournament.
Brown’s next home weekend will be on September 27-28 when the Bears host Connecticut College, Concordia University, Johns Hopkins University and Wheaton College (Mass.) as part of the Bruno Invite. The Bears also host part of the Harvard Invitational (October 16-17) with games against Salem University, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, the United States Naval Academy and the University of California-Merced.
The Bears’ first road trip of the year will also be its first Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) game of the season as Brown makes the trip to Iona University on September 12. Brown has two West Coast trips this season, the first being in Fullerton, Calif., (September 18-19) against Biola University, Fresno Pacific University, host California State University-Fullerton and California Lutheran University. The Bears will head to Santa Clara University on October 23-24 to take on San Jose State University, the host Broncos and Pepperdine University.
NWPC action kicks into high gear on October 3 as Brown plays four-straight league road games, facing off against Long Island University (October 3), Princeton University (October 4), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University (October 10).
The Bears close out the year with six home games, starting against Wheaton on October 30. Brown then plays five-straight NWPC games at home against Harvard and MIT (October 31), Iona (November 7) with match-ups versus Long Island and Princeton on November 8).
The 2026 NWPC Championship will take place in Cambridge, Mass., at Harvard on November 20-22 to determined the league’s qualifier for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
