BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Changes are announced for the Winter 2021 Winter Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference-East Region, Northern Section schedule for the upcoming men’s water polo season.
On the weekend of February 13-14, Wagner College will host Iona College on Saturday, February 13, at Noon in Staten, Island, N.Y.. However, the remainder of the weekend’s schedule adjusts as Fordham University in the Bronx, N.Y., will host the remainder of the weekend’s docket at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center with the Rams meeting Wagner at 10:00 a.m. prior to Iona College and Wagner facing La Salle University at Noon and 4:00 p.m., respectively. The weekend’s slate of action concludes at 6:00 p.m. as Fordham and Iona clash
A week later, Fordham picks up another pair of games as the contests previously slated to occur at La Salle in Philadelphia, Pa., move up I-95 to occur in the Bronx. Wagner will take on the Explorers at Noon before the host Rams seek to defend the Bronx in another rumble with La Salle at 4:00 p.m.
The site adjustments raise the number of games in the Bronx as Fordham will host on February 5, February 6, February 14 and February 20. The slate means Fordham will be the site for 10-of-12 games in the MAWPC-East, North with only a February 12 game at Iona in New Rochelle, N.Y., between the Gaels and Wagner College and the February 13 Wagner-Iona game in Staten Island, N.Y., not taking place at the Messmore Aquatic Center in the Vincent T. Lombardi Memorial Center.
