BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Christine Wiley (Fr., Sacramento, Calif./El Camino) of the University of California-Los Angeles recorded 12 goals in a 4-0 weekend for the Bruins at the Lindgren Aquatics Center on the campus of California State University-Long Beach (Long Beach State) to earn a share of the February 13 Women’s Collegiate Club Pacific Coast Division Player of the Week award.
An attacker/utility player, Wiley helped UCLA top the University of Southern California (8-2 W), the University of California-Riverside (11-1 W), the University of California-Santa Barbara (8-7 W) and host Long Beach State (7-5 W) to open the Pacific Coast season with a 4-0 mark.
She shares the award with Sierra Sheeper (Jr., Menlo Park, Calif./Menlo-Atherton) of California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) who notched 42 saves in 112 minutes during a 3-1 weekend for the Mustangs.
