BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Following the 2017 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of Pittsburgh on Friday-Sunday, May 5-7, the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2017 Women’s National Collegiate Club Week 14/May 11/Final Top 20 Poll.
National Champion the University of California-Davis, which entered the championship as the No. 1 team in the country, wraps up the year in the same spot as the Aggies collected a perfect 100 points to rate as a unanimous top selection. California Polytechnic State University (95 points) and San Diego State University (90 points) exchange the No. 2 and 3 slots due to their order of finish at the National Collegiate Club Championship, while The Ohio State University (85 points), the University of Central Florida (74 points) and Grand Valley State University (69 points) rearrange to conclude the 2017 campaign at No. 4-to-6, respectively.
The University of Washington (60 points) remains at No. 7 with the University of California (55 points) and the University of Michigan (48 points) trading the No. 8 and 9 positions from the Week 13 voting. Dartmouth College (47 points) jumps nine spots to take over at No. 10, while Texas A&M University (42 points) and Pittsburgh (37 points), which stood at No. 11 and 10 on May 4, take over at No. 11 and 12 this week.
Long Beach State University (36 points) cracks the Top 20 at No. 13 with the duos of the University of California-Santa Barbara (34 points) and the University of California-Los Angeles (34 points) along with Pennsylvania State University (30 points) and the University of Notre Dame (30 points) entering into ties at No. 14 and 16, respectively.
The University of California-Santa Cruz (20 points), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (19 points) and Michigan State University (15 point) complete the final Top 20 of the academic year.
