BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — San Diego State University rises to the top position at No. 1 as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2017 Women’s National Collegiate Club Week 2/February 16 Top 20 Poll.
SDSU, which was tied at No. 2 last week, garners 96 points to overcome previously unranked the University of California-Los Angeles (94 points) for the top spot. The University of California (84 points) moves up one position to No. 3, while the University of California-Davis (83 points) and previously No. 1-ranked the University of California-Santa Barbara (82 points) drop back to No. 4 and 5, respectively.
Grand Valley State University (72 points), the University of Notre Dame (70 points), California Polytechnic State University (63 points), The Ohio State University (61 points) and the University of Florida (54 points) complete the Top 10.
Arizona State University (45 points), the University of Michigan (35 points), the University of Texas (34 points), Pennsylvania State University (28 points) and the University of Utah (25 points) rate at No. 11-to-15, with the University of Pittsburgh (21 points), the University of California-Irvine (20 points) and Boston College (16 points) attaining the No. 16-to-18 slots.
The Top 20 is rounded out by the University of Virginia (14 points) and McKendree University (14 points) who stand in a tie at No. 19.
